MEET THE ARTISTS
Jill Hunt
studied dress design at St Martins and designed for Liberty. Recently she has been attending courses at The Royal Drawing School.
Katya Hart
obtained a degree in Physics before becoming an artist. She studies drawing and painting at the Royal Drawing School. She has also taken courses at Putney School of Art and Design, where she was awarded the 2012 Portrait Prize.
Elena Dmitrieva
studied Fine Art Painting in Moscow and New York and and has taken courses at the Royal Drawing School.
Trishna Rehan
is an artist currently studying BA Fine art at Goldsmiths. Her main mediums include painting and experimental film.
Rachel Mercer
completed the postgraduate course at The Royal Drawing School in 2014. Her main interests are meditation and nature, her subject matter often plants and people. Through botanical studies she explores her feeling and interests towards ecology.
Diccon James
completed the Foundation Year at the Royal Drawing School in 2014 and is now studying towards a BA in Fine Art at Oxford Brookes University.
Gonçalo Neto
completed the Foundation Year at the Royal Drawing School in 2014 and is now studying for a BA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths University.
Michael Chance
draws from imagination, art history and observation, using figure, architecture and landscape, aiming to develop a new
allegorical language with which to make sense of the current socio-political issues and explore the relationship between "man" and "nature".
Michelle Cowles
trained in the Glasgow School of Fine Art. Since then she has continued to draw and paint, with a keen eye for intimate places found in nature: parks, rivers, etc. The paint is laid down fast an intuitively in the rhythm of the changing patterns of nature.
Nicola Gunnarsson
completed the Foundation Year at the Royal Drawing School in 2014 and is now studying towards a BA in Fine Art and Art History at Goldsmiths University.
Trang Nguyen
after completing the Foundation Year in 2014 at the Royal Drawing School, she is currently
studying BA Animation at the School of Fine Art and Design, Middlesex University.
Luisa Mascaro Pons
studied Painting and Drawing at Lorenzo de Medici School, Luisa's work encompasses still life, human form or landscape while usually using different etching techniques although she often opts for a simple pencil, pen or brush.
Alyssa Hart
completed the Foundation Year at the Royal Drawing School in 2014 and is now studying towards a BA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths University.
Veronika Peat
has a multidisciplinary background which encompasses both digital and drawn/painted media. She teaches digital arts at the University of Hertfordshire.
Digging In, Branching Out is a group of art students and alumni from the Royal Drawing School, Goldsmiths, Middlesex University and Oxford Brookes. Just like gardening, making art involves questioning, working hard, taking risks and nurturing! The students will show you Kew through their artistic impressions, having worked all summer in the Gardens. Discover their work in mixed media, oils, watercolour and pencils.

Lauren Westeney
is inspired by nature, which manifests itself in her drawings. She completed the Drawing Intensive Course at the Royal Drawing School in 2016.
